Coed-y-Gaer

There is still time to sing...
The cage hangs out before the door tonight
And in the dusk, pale shadowy nightingales
Arise and break the bars and we are free.

Only the friendly
Shadow on the distant mountain recommends
A life more fitting than we show our friends
And as we throw down our poised cup of tea
Arise and break the bow and we are free.

There is no time to stand
And count the shadows underneath my hand
We must go forth now to eternity
Arise and break the bonds and we are free.
